Dude, you summed it up perfectly! I was drawn in awhile back by a blurb in one of the horror mags and I anxiously awaited the release. Being poor I downloaded it for free online. I just can't afford to risk buying a movie that I might not want in my collection.

I got in a conversation with Matt on FB about it and at first i think he was very against torrents but after I explained my side I think he kind of understood. Thing is I loved the damn movie and I told him after seeing it that I did want it in my collection and felt it was worth the money. He probably still thought I was full of it and he'd never see a dime from me. But a couple weeks ago at Blood On The Beach I gladly handed over my $20! No regrets, this movie is worth every cent!

I think the real sadness in the early shift in my feeling about this film is when you see Meg tied up for the first time. You get a real quick sense that the abuse had not only already started for her, but might have already been going on for some time....likely involving several of the neighborhood kids(namely the boys). The last bright prospect was that Meg hoped that David was her last possible bit of sanity and maybe a hope of escape. When he sees her tied up for the first time and the boys answer her that yes David is there, she seems almost totally emotionally deflated and even broken hearted that he too has now seen the truth...and now what must he be thinking of her. So many times I tried to imagine that some force for good would intervene even in a movie and would never let them commit such heinous barbarism on this girl. It does leave you with a sick twisted stomach to see this man at the start and end of this movie carried these horrible memories with him his whole life. I guess maybe it just warrants saying....if ever you think you might need to do something, do it. Dont live your life thinking maybe you could have saved them.....
